Services
Colonial · Modern · Contemporary. We work with the same attention regardless of the piece's period.
Easel painting
Restoration and conservation of painting on canvas, wood, and other supports — including thread-to-thread tear repair and relining when the support needs it.
Polychrome sculpture
Restoration and conservation of polychrome sculpture on wood, paper, and metal — consolidation, correcting deformations, and pictorial reintegration.
Preventive conservation
Measures that stop deterioration before it becomes damage — the step almost nobody takes until it's already too late.
Diagnosis and documentation
Assessment of the piece's conservation condition — examination under raking light and magnification, photographic documentation, and a written diagnosis before any treatment begins.
Interventions
3.1Diagnosis, conservation & sanitization
- Organoleptic examination & digital recording. Exhaustive micro/macroscopic analysis of alterations.
- Official condition reports. Technical conservation sheets and deterioration mapping for private and institutional collections.
- Disinfection & biodeterioration control. Specialized treatments for mold inhibition and the neutralization of biological agents.
- Preventive conservation advisory. Climate and mechanical risk management for exhibition spaces.
3.2Structural treatments
- Support stabilization. Correction of planar distortions, tear mending, and fissure bridging in canvas and paper supports.
- Layer consolidation. Micro-localized readhesion of paint layers prone to flaking, lifting, or cleavage.
- Advanced tensioning systems. Application of perimeter strip-lining and conservation lining treatments.
- Secondary supports. Structural adjustment, stabilization, or replacement with conservation stretcher bars.
3.3Aesthetic restoration
- Controlled chemical & mechanical cleaning. Removal of surface grime, cohesive deposits, and aged, yellowed, or degraded varnishes.
- Stucco filling & chromatic reintegration. Precision filling of losses (lacunae) and color inpainting using stable, fully reversible materials.
